Helene Stureborgs Kammarkör (HSK) startade hösten 2011 på initiativ av sångare som tidigare sjungit i Stockholms Musikgymnasiums Kammarkör (SMK). Kören har genomgått en stor utveckling sedan start, och består i dagsläget av cirka 30 sångare med varierad musikalisk bakgrund och höga musikaliska ambitioner. Alltsedan kören grundades har HSK årligen medverkat i Habaneras adventskonserter i Blå Hallen, men har på sistone även medverkat i större arenakonserter runt om i norden som Chess in Concert, I Love Musicals, Ennio Morricones konserter i Köpenhamn och Stockholm m.m. Utöver det har kören i regel fyra egna konserter per verksamhetsår – höst, jul, vår och försommar.
Våren 2016 firade kören sitt femårsjubileum med att vinna Fleischmann International Trophy i den renommerade körtävlingen Cork International Choral Festival på Irland. Två år senare vann kören Grand Prix samt sina båda deltävlingar i Grieg International Choir Festival 2018 i Bergen.
Helene Stureborg’s Chamber Choir (HSK) was established in the autumn of 2011 on the initiative of alumni singers from the renowned and rewarded choir The Stockholms Musikgymnasium Chamber Choir (SMK). Since its’ beginning the choir has progressed greatly, and today it consists of around 30 singers with musical background of varied kinds and great musical ambitions. Since the start HSK has participated in the yearly Advent concerts in the Stockholm City Hall and during recent years, the choir has also participated in arena concerts such as Chess in Concert, I love Musicals and Ennio Morricone’s concerts in Stockholm , Copenhagen and Oslo. In addition to this the choir usually has four concerts of its own per year – autumn, Christmas, spring and summer.
During the spring of 2016 the choir celebrated its’ five year-anniversary by winning the Fleischmann International Trophy in the renowned choir competition Cork International Choral Festival in Ireland. Two years later the choir won the Grand Prix of the competition and both of their categories in Grieg International Choir Festival 2018 in Bergen.
